Notification Date - March 2, 2026:
Crews continue demolition and structural preparations at the State/Lake Loop Elevated station, including replacing rivets with temporary bolts, removing exterior walls and columns, and advancing platform demolition. Crews also surveyed existing structural conditions and marked select station elements to be preserved for the Illinois Railway Museum. All businesses remain open during construction. Crews are advancing demolition and reconstruction at the State/Lake Loop Elevated station, including paint and rivet removal, platform dismantling, and removal of signal equipment. Work also includes installing temporary subway lighting and preparing for upcoming water main improvements. All businesses will remain open during construction.
